FAQ
Frequently asked questions about the Verona Card
Answers to the most common questions about the Verona Card. Note: when you buy through this site you receive a voucher to exchange for the physical card on site.
Buying & price
How much does the Verona Card cost?+
The current prices for both durations are shown live in the booking widget on the Prices page, always up to date and in your currency.
How do I get the card after buying?+
You book online and receive a voucher by email instantly. Exchange it for the physical card on site at the IAT info point (Via Leoncino 61, Palazzo Barbieri). Cards are not posted.
Are there discounts for children?+
The Verona Card is sold at a single price per person - there is no separate children's rate. Many city museums already offer free or reduced entry for children anyway, which you will see at the ticket desk on site.
Which validity option is worth it?+
For a packed day taking in the Arena, Casa di Giulietta and one museum, the 24-hour card is enough. If you are also planning Castelvecchio, the Torre dei Lamberti and a church or two, the 48-hour card is the better value per day. Details under Prices.
Validity & use
When does the card become valid?+
The card activates on first use - either at the first attraction or on the first bus ride. From that moment it runs for 24 or 48 hours, depending on the version you chose. You decide when to start.
Is the Verona Card transferable?+
The card is non-transferable - each person needs their own. Hold it up to the scanner at museum ticket desks and when boarding buses; during ticket inspections, showing the card is sufficient.
Can I visit attractions more than once?+
No. Each included attraction can be visited once with free entry. A second visit to the same attraction requires a separate ticket.
Public transport
Which means of transport can I use?+
With the Verona Card you can use ATV city buses in Verona as often as you like. Not included: the Aerobus airport shuttle (Airlink, line 199), regional buses outside the city and the funicular to Castel San Pietro. More under public transport.
How do I validate the card on the bus?+
Hold the card up to the ticket scanner on the bus when boarding until a signal confirms validation. When changing buses, scan again. Travelling without validating can result in a fine.
Is the card valid from the airport?+
No. From the airport the Airlink shuttle (line 199) runs to Porta Nuova station and requires a separate ticket. City bus services from the station onwards are covered by the card. More under public transport.
