Attractions with the Verona Card

The Verona Card gives you free or discounted admission to many museums, sights and cultural sites in Verona.

The Verona Card is a 24- or 48-hour city pass that gives you free entry to over 15 sights in Verona. From the Roman Arena to Juliet's House, you can visit the city's main attractions for free and also enjoy unlimited use of all city buses. The card also offers various discounts, such as for city tours, the opera festival in the Arena or the Giardino Giusti.

Arena di Verona

The Arena di Verona is a Roman amphitheater from the 1st century A.D. It is considered one of the best-preserved ancient theaters and is still used for opera performances today (opera festival every summer). Visitors can freely explore the imposing oval with its tiers and arches during the day. With the Verona Card, you can enter via a separate entrance (Gate 5) without a long wait.

Casa di Giulietta (Juliet's House)

The Casa di Giulietta is a medieval town house that became famous as Juliet's home in Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet. There is a bronze statue of Juliet in the courtyard and the house has the legendary balcony - the setting for the famous balcony scene. Visitors can climb onto the balcony and feel the romantic atmosphere. The visit is free with the Verona Card, but a time slot must be booked online in advance.

Museo di Castelvecchio

The Castelvecchio is a 14th century castle built by the Scaliger dynasty. The crenellated Ponte Scaligero, once the castle's escape route, crosses the river. Today, Castelvecchio houses a museum with a collection of medieval and Renaissance art - from paintings and sculptures to historical weapons. You can wander through the castle courtyards and battlements and enjoy the view of Verona and the River Adige from the edge of the walls.

Torre dei Lamberti

The Torre dei Lamberti from the 12th century rises 84 meters above the old town. Those who climb the 368 steps (or the elevator) to the top are rewarded with a sweeping panorama - over the old town to the surrounding hills. The Verona Card includes admission to the tower (there is a €1 charge for the elevator ride).

Basilica of San Zeno Maggiore

The Basilica of San Zeno is an important Romanesque church in Verona (built in the 12th century). Its tuff and brick façade is adorned with a large rose window, the Wheel of Fortuna. Inside, Romanesque columns, medieval frescoes and the crypt with the tomb of St. Zeno await you. With the Verona Card, you can visit this church and the adjoining cloister free of charge.

Verona Cathedral

The Dom of Verona (Cathedral of Santa Maria Matricolare) combines Romanesque and Gothic architecture. The Romanesque portal leads into a high nave in Gothic style. Inside, numerous art treasures impress, including the painting The Assumption of Mary by Titian. You can visit the cathedral for free with the Verona Card.
